Mighty Ducks Actor Arrested

Quack Quack Quack

Shaun Weiss, child actor who gained notoriety in the Mighty Ducks franchise, was arrested on burglary charges Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Oroville, CA. This was not his first brush with the law. As detailed on his Wikipedia page, Weiss began his downward spiral starting in 2017.

In July 2017, Weiss was sentenced to 150 days in the Los Angeles County Jail for petty theft.[4] He served just 12 days in jail due to overcrowding.[5] Five days after his release, Weiss was arrested on August 2, 2017 for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, in Burbank, California and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.[6][7] Weiss was arrested the weekend of August 3, 2018 for public intoxication in Oroville, California.[8] Following that arrest, he declared that he was entering rehab.[9][10] Weiss was arrested on suspicion of burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance on January 28, 2020 in Marysville, CA.[11]

Weiss’ acting career never materialized into any substantial roles; he only appeared in smaller parts and commercials. He also gave stand-up comedy a try.

After playing Goldberg, the overweight goalie in the Might Ducks, Weiss went on to play the role of hefty camper Josh Birnbalm in the movie Heavyweights.

Here he is rollerblading in D3: The Mighty Ducks. Look at him go!

Mighty Ducks fans are shocked at his present appearance. The mugshot from his recent arrest portrays a grotesquely thin and haggard Weiss. He was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.

It is a sad story and, hopefully, a wake-up call for Weiss.
